I haven’t seen her for a long time. I’m glad I had a chance to meet her again. Although there were awkward moments (because I don’t have any stories to tell), ‘twas a great night. Sayang kasi kulang yung group, tas farewell na yun kasi Diane’s going back to Doha. (Saka si Beth Sarte, na-miss ko din.)

Part 2 of the weekend vacation we had last week.

The reason why I keep coming back to this place is because of the food shop called Arabela and of course, the Tagaytay-like climate. Since I didn’t discover new things, let me show you na lang some of the photos of where we have been and what we ate last Saturday.

Liliw Church - one of the most beautiful churches I’ve known and the most quiet church I’ve been. There’s actually a mass going on when we visited, pero naka shorts and sando lang ako so we left na lang, hehe.

Liliw is known as Tsinelas capital of the country, so kung hinahanapan niyo ako ng tsinelas sa post ko, e ‘di eto…‘YSL’ Yari Sa Liliw, haha… Gat Tayaw Street is where you can find all the footwear shops, I must say, they are very affordable and durable as well…

I am really fascinated with the houses, especially this White House. According to my friend, Beth Sarte, a bank was its tenant before. Pero di ko naman nakita yun. Ang ganda lang talaga. And the streets are very calm.

After they went shopping, my excitement grew because it is Arabela time! Ginabi na kami, and it was Valentines weekend, so the shop was in romantic mood.

The shop was really meant for small people like us. Feeling matangkad ka dito sa shop na ‘to.

Actually, there is much food the next day when we had lunch. But because of the crazy weather and Whitney Houston’s death, I’m too lazy to take photos na, LOLJK. :p It was a great weekend!

So it’s already mid-Feb, few days from now it will be March na! Bilis!

Over the weekend, I got the chance of revisiting Nagcarlan/ Liliw. My last visit was almost 3 years ago, I must say there’s a lot of changes in the area. Before, the town was really quiet and there’s so much peace. Yeah, it is still peaceful, but crowded. On our little vacation, we visited the town’s very own Historical landmark, the Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery. Yes, hindi lang Palawan ang may underground ek-ek, meron din yan ang Nagcarlan, Laguna! :)

It was built by the Franciscans, and according to the lady guide, this cemetery was used by the Katipuneros as a secret meeting place. Kaya siya na-declare na Historical Landmark.

The “underground” area was quite creepy. Maybe sa sobrang kalumaan. But I hope our government has enough budget to maintain it. The underground area isn’t that well-maintained kasi.
